Brief
History
Roy Herburger
Herburger Publications, Inc. was
founded in 1959 in Galt, California by Roy and Mary Herburger.
Starting with the purchase of The Galt Herald newspaper and
then succeeding that with the purchase of the Elk Grove Citizen
newspaper, Roy and Mary created a local publishing empire. They
eventually added the capacity for outside, commercial printing
and started printing many local and regional newspapers in addition
to their own, in-house, newspapers.
Now, over 40 years later, Herburger Publications continues to
provide high quality, cost effective web offset printing and
design and layout services for hundreds of newspapers, such
as the San Joaquin Business Journal, Alive and Kicking, Lockeford
Clements News, Mundo Hispano, Fun Times, Buy and Sell, UOP Pacifican,
Senior Lifestyles, Employment Guide, City of Stockton Port of
Call, Ropers Sports News, and many others.
